When I think of the top of the South, the greens, blues and gold come to mind. In early January, we were surrounded by these hues for Prasanthi and Wilbur’s wedding at the stunning Riwaka Resurgence. Te Puna o Riuwaka is a wahi tapu for both Te Atiawa and Ngati Rarua, a place whose waters heal and sustain the body and spirit of those who seek them. Bathing is permitted here, and on such a HOT summers’ day it wasn’t long before everyone had toes in the water - though the spring never rises above 10°C. From here to Brooklyn and then the Lower Moutere Hall, we had an amazing time capturing celebrations with these two, and getting to share the day with their friends and whanau (including my old Parliament colleagues). Massive thank you to all!
